TERMS & CONDITIONS – WIN A NISSAN PATROL COMPETITION
Hosted by: Cape Route Rally (Pty) Ltd (“the Promoter”)
1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern the promotional competition in which participants stand a chance to win a Nissan Patrol (“the Prize”).
1.2. By purchasing Cape Route Rally (CRR) merchandise and entering the competition, participants agree to be bound by these T&Cs.
1.3. The Promoter reserves the right to amend or update these T&Cs at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be made public.
2. COMPETITION PERIOD
2.1. The competition opens on 1 January 2025 and closes on 6 December 2025 at 15:30, or once all competition entries have been allocated—whichever occurs first.
2.2. The final live draw will take place on 6 December 2025 at 16:00.
2.3. The live draw will be hosted at MotoVillage, unless unforeseen circumstances require an alternative venue to be announced.
3. ELIGIBILITY
3.1. The competition is open to South African citizens or permanent residents aged 17 years or older.
3.2. If the winner is under 18, the Prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent or legal guardian, who will assume all legal responsibility for licensing, registration, insurance and ownership. The minor may only drive the vehicle in accordance with learner licence laws.
3.3. The winner must hold a valid South African learner’s licence or driver’s licence at the time of taking delivery of the Prize. Where the winner holds only a learner’s licence, the vehicle may only be operated in accordance with the learner’s licence conditions, including supervision requirements as set out in the National Road Traffic Act.
3.4. Employees, contractors, ambassadors, participants, operational crew, vendors and staff affiliated with the following entities ARE permitted to enter:

– Gravel Kings (Pty) Ltd
– MotoVillage (Pty) Ltd
– Freight Factory (Pty) Ltd
– Bike Bwana (Pty) Ltd
– The Gloss Father (Pty) Ltd
3.5. Directors and owners of the Promoter may enter only if not involved in administering or overseeing the draw.
3.6. The Promoter may request verification documents to confirm eligibility.
4. ENTRY MECHANISM
4.1. Competition entries are earned by purchasing Cape Route Rally merchandise.
4.2. For every R100 spent, the participant receives one (1) free competition ticket.
– Example: R400 spend = 4 tickets.
4.3. Participants may purchase as much merchandise as they wish; each R100 allocation constitutes one valid entry.
4.4. Merchandise may be purchased online, at CRR events, or from authorised representatives.
4.5. All merchandise sales are final and non-refundable.
5. THE PRIZE
5.1. The Prize consists of a modified Nissan Patrol as advertised by the Promoter.
5.2. The vehicle is awarded as-is, in the exact condition displayed during the competition period.
5.3. The Prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
5.4. Licensing, registration, insurance, and any associated costs are the responsibility of the winner unless otherwise stated.
5.5. No warranties apply beyond what is expressly communicated.
6. PRIZE OWNERSHIP & RESALE RESTRICTIONS
6.1. The winner agrees not to sell or transfer the Prize within the first 6 months.
6.2. Should the winner wish to sell the Prize within the first 12 months, the sale may only be conducted through MotoVillage.
6.3. Cape Route Rally (Pty) Ltd shall have right of first refusal for any sale within the first 12 months.
6.4. Violations may result in cancellation or legal enforcement.
6.5. These restrictions protect the promotional integrity of the competition.
7. DRAW PROCESS
7.1. The winner will be selected through a randomised live draw on 6 December 2025 at 16:00.
7.2. The draw will take place at MotoVillage and may be live-streamed.
7.3. An independent party will oversee the draw for fairness.
7.4. Only valid, fully allocated entries are included.
7.5. The Promoter’s decision is final.
8. WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT & ACCEPTANCE
8.1. The winner will be announced at the draw and contacted using provided details.
8.2. If unreachable within 14 days, the Promoter may redraw.
8.3. Verification documents may be required.
8.4. Prize must be collected within 30 days unless agreed otherwise.
9. PUBLICITY
9.1. Participants consent to use of their name, image, and likeness for marketing purposes.
9.2. The winner agrees to take part in promotional activities, including handover photos/videos.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
10.1. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for technical issues, invalid entries, or participant losses.
10.2. Entry is at participants’ own risk.
10.3. No liability applies after Prize handover.
11. DISQUALIFICATION
Participants may be disqualified for:
– Manipulating the entry process;
– Providing false information;
– Attempting to influence results;
– Breaching these T&Cs.
12. DATA PROTECTION
12.1. Personal information is used only for competition administration.
12.2. Information is not sold and shared only when legally required.
12.3. POPIA compliance applies to all data handling.
15. GENERAL
15.1. South African law governs these T&Cs.
15.2. Invalid clauses do not affect remaining clauses.
15.3. Participation implies full acceptance of these T&Cs.
